How to Make Cold Brew at Home
The Recipe

Combine coarse grounds and cold water
Use a 1:4 coffee-to-water ratio for a strong concentrate — this is the standard starting ratio most home cold brewers rely on.

Steep cold for 12–24 hours
Room temperature or in the fridge — no heat, no rush. Longer steeps pull more depth without added bitterness.

Strain the grounds
A fine mesh strainer, cheesecloth, or a dedicated cold brew maker all work — what matters is getting a clean concentrate.

Dilute and serve over ice
Cut the concentrate roughly 1:1 with water or milk, adjusting to taste. This is a concentrate, not ready-to-drink straight from the jar.
